Here at SPLF!

ImageAfter leaving Chicago, we pulled in late into a motel near Six Flags St. Louis. Woke up the next morning and drove around Pacific, Missouri. Fascinating little town, with an old Civil War look-out and huge holes in their sandstone hills – one of which was an old mine shaft.

And this crazy looking building – loved it’s quirkiness!

1781955_594811740612167_784743917_nWe made it through the Ozarks and through Oklahoma to Dallas in about 9 hours. It was mind-blowing to see significant snow-pack on the ground in Oklahoma. By the time we pulled into Dallas, we were wiped out, but we made it to the welcome arms of the Leather Hearts Clan who graciously put us up for the night. And took us out to Mac’s Bar-B-Q on Wed. YUM!

Gotta watch out for these strange, kinky people we seem to hang around with…

And so… we made it to Dallas and to South Plains Leatherfest here at Park Inn. Yay! Lots of driving, and now we have an evening and another day of quiet before the whirlwind begins.
