We are traveling to Detroit Michigan to attend/judge at the Michigan Leather Sir/boy/Ms/Bootblack/Master-slave competition. I’m honored to be asked to judge, especially since this is the first Master/slave contest in Michigan. Very exciting! However, that makes for a busy day, so the topic today is one of my favorite quotes, from a book called “The Hagakure” by Yamamoto Tsunetomo. It applies to how my slave and I look at our M/s relationship.
“There is surely nothing other than the single purpose of the present moment. A man’s whole life is a succession of moment after moment. There will be nothing else to do, and nothing else to pursue. Live being true to the single purpose of the moment.”
