The crazy week continues. Post GLLA drop, work and family life pressing, preparations for Master/slave Conference this weekend. Not enough sleep and all the things that make for a crabby and stressed household this week.
So while we didn’t necessarily do anything “M/s’y”, I did want to share the link to a regular webcast that we find ourselves listening to quite often.
Doctor (and Master) Robert Rubel and his Master Jen hold a twice a month webcast called “Evenings with Jen and Bob Rubel”. The topics vary among BDSM topics, but as Dr. Bob and Jen engage in a 24/7 M/s relationship, they often have related topics.
Tonight, angie and I listened to their webcast (and participated) and had a very nice time listening to ideas on setting up a family based on intentional values and practices. It was relevant because I’ve found myself starting to take the first steps to doing that from an M/s community perspective – with MAsT: Greater Chicago, with my friends, with those curious in M/s and expressing what we believe is an authentic interest. Angie and I both remember asking years ago “Where are the people like us?” We both feel called to doing what we can so that nobody has to ask that question.
Some of the interesting notes/books that came from that topic:
- Imago therapy – intentional dialog – http://www.relationshipjourney.com/dialoguetipsdawn.html
- The book, “A Game Free Life” by Stephen Karpman.
- “Another easy-to-read profound book that is outside mainstream thought is called: The Usual Error… there is a website titled usualerror.com if I’m not mistaken. The “usual error” is that others think like you.”
Once we have a bit of brain power, I took notes and slave angie and I will be talking to each other about these, especially the Intentional Dialog.
