On the road and tucked into our hotel room in Evansville Indiana. We’re both a bit drained from the six hour drive, emotional class (Health Issues/Disabilities) and then a wonderful dinner. Everywhere we go, we meet really nice people who have found a different way to love, a different way to be themselves and reaching out to find others.
The windshield time was nice – with conversation about projects and things we’re working both together and separate, a long conversation about where we go when we die, values, what cock rings feel like, formal dinners, last night’s correction in the car… the gamut of things.
But the moment I’m going to remember is just looking out across a gorgeous sky, her hand on my arm, the car is humming along, we’re on a country road and if I could freeze time, it would be that moment, we were both silent, together, at rest, but off to a new adventure and meet new people. Those perfect moments, like photographs.
Those are the times we hold onto when it gets tough and we wonder why we are doing all of this. When the road is rough and we’ve poured out very personal stories to share and also hear from others. A journey of a lifetime together.
In our class we talked about some tough issues we have faced and were asked hard questions. Going to chew on one of my replies a bit more. In the Master slave relationship the collar carries the same promise of “in good times and in bad, in sickness and in health” For us anyway, i guess it never occurred to me it wouldn’t.
